Central IL – A dense fog advisory has been issued north of a Beardstown to Danville line through 9 a.m. Dense fog is likely to impact the morning commute but will rapidly lift after 8 a.m.

According to the U.S. National Weather Service Central Illinois, motorists should drive with caution due to low visibility. While scattered showers and thunderstorms continue south of I-72 today, areas north of there will largely remain dry, though dense fog is expected to start the day.

A warming trend begins today and continues into early next week, with widespread highs in the 80s starting Saturday. Expect mostly sunny skies and pleasant temperatures over the weekend, with rain chances decreasing but returning early next week.
