Champaign, IL – Fire Engulfs Champaign Home; No Injuries Reported

Champaign, IL – The Champaign Fire Department showcased a swift response to a house fire on West Tremont St. 

Teams were seen tackling the blaze on Tuesday, with firefighters cutting through the roof to ventilate the structure and battling the flames from both inside and outside the residence. Despite the heavy smoke and significant damage to the property, no firefighter or occupant injuries were reported.  The family has since been displaced from the residence.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the Champaign Fire Department has issued a reminder about the importance of smoke alarms and having an evacuation plan.
