Champaign, IL – First Christian Church Hosts First Responder Training on January 30

Champaign, IL – Residents are advised of first responder training to take place at the First Christian Church on 3601 S. Staley Road.

According to the City of Champaign, the event is scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 9 am to noon. This exercise will include participation from the police, fire department, and EMTs, focusing on rapid response protocols.

During this period, the community may observe an increased presence of emergency services and hear the sound of non-lethal “blank” rounds used in training. The city aims to prepare teams for quick and coordinated actions in critical situations while minimizing public concern by informing them in advance.
