CHICAGO, IL – Craft beer vendors from Illinois made their mark at the highly anticipated 2023 Craft Beer Marketing Awards (CBMAs).

The event, held during the 2023 Craft Brewers Conference in Nashville, TN and streamed on Facebook LIVE, celebrated exceptional marketing achievements within the craft beer industry worldwide.

Illinois vendors showcased their creativity and innovation, securing a total of seven Crushie awards and one honorable mention. Leading the pack was Chicago’s Stout Collective, winning six Crushies across multiple categories. Their remarkable accomplishments included the gold-winning “This is Indie Beer” collaboration with the Brewers Association and the gold-winning rebrand of Brash Brewing.

Huntley’s More Brewing Co. added to Illinois’ success by capturing a platinum Crushie for their captivating partnership with The Paper Tube Company and their striking packaging design for the Henna Imperial Stout.

Notably, Nachel Beer Education, based in Orland Park, IL, received an honorable mention for their thought-provoking entry titled “Skin: Marty Nachel,” featuring the ancient and evocative symbol known as The Brewer’s Star.

These wins underscore Illinois’ thriving craft beer scene and the commitment of its vendors to push the boundaries of marketing strategies. By showcasing their creativity and originality, these vendors demonstrate their dedication to stand out in a highly competitive market.

The Craft Beer Marketing Awards, established in 2019, have quickly become a prestigious platform for the brewing industry to recognize and celebrate excellence in marketing. The participation of vendors from around the world highlights the global impact of the craft beer movement and the importance of effective marketing in the industry.

The competition at this year’s CBMAs was fierce, with over 600 industry professionals serving as judges. The victories achieved by Illinois vendors exemplify the state’s position as a hub of craft beer excellence, bolstering its reputation on a global scale.

As the craft beer industry continues to evolve, the CBMAs provide inspiration and recognition for marketing professionals. Looking ahead, anticipation is high for the 2024 awards season, set to commence in September with early-bird entries and judge recruitment.
