Chicago, IL – The US National Weather Service Chicago has issued a weather advisory for the Chicagoland area, warning of dense fog this morning, particularly along the I-80 corridor.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution due to reduced visibility, which may drop to half a mile or less, and potential slick spots on roadways as temperatures hover in the 20s. This fog is expected to persist through 10 AM CST.

Looking ahead, the weather service advises residents to prepare for a significant dip in temperatures later in the week, with a likelihood of snow as colder conditions take hold. The community is encouraged to stay informed on weather updates and travel safely, allowing extra time for commutes and using low beam headlights to navigate through the fog.
