Chicago, IL – Today in the Chicago area, residents can expect warm and breezy weather, with temperatures climbing into the 70s. 

The National Weather Service forecasts periodic showers and storms beginning late tonight and persisting through the end of the workweek. The most significant storm activity is anticipated late Thursday into Friday, particularly near and west of the I-39 corridor, where some storms could become strong to severe. 

Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions as the week progresses.
