Chicago Teen Arrested for Robbery on CTA, Charged with Felony

Chicago, IL – A breakthrough has been made in a recent Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) robbery case.

According to the Chicago Police Department, a 16-year-old has been charged with a felony count of robbery after being identified by 5th District Officers. The incident occurred on March 11, 2024, in the 800 block of North State Street and involved the juvenile forcibly taking property from a CTA passenger. The arrest followed an alert posted on the Chicago Police Department website. The successful apprehension on March 21 was the result of diligent efforts by the Public Transportation Safety Team and Counterterrorism detectives.
