CRESTWOOD, IL — The Crestwood Police Department is issuing an urgent warning to residents about a recent scam involving individuals falsely claiming to represent the Village as an asphalt company. These imposters have not been authorized by the village in any capacity.

Residents are reminded to exercise caution and always verify legitimacy before accepting any offers for driveway resealing or asphalt services. The Village Hall requires all companies to register before performing such work, a measure designed to prevent scams like this.

Residents are advised to be wary of strangers at their door and to secure a permit from the Village Hall before agreeing to any work. For any suspicions or concerns, contact the building department or the Crestwood Police Department at 708-371-4800 ext 2001 immediately. Stay alert and stay safe!
