CrimeStoppers offers Reward for info on serious January Hit & Run Accident

Kankakee. Ill. – CrimeStoppers is offering a $500 cash reward for information that leads to the identification or apprehension of the occupants in the vehicle involved in a hit and run accident in Pembroke Township.

On Friday, January 6th at 8:20 pm, an unknown motorist struck a pedestrian causing severe injuries on 13000 East Rd (S Main St) near 2700 South in Pembroke Township. The vehicle, believed to be a dark colored sedan, continued southbound on 13000 East Road without stopping to check on the welfare of the victim.

The victim remains hospitalized in serious condition. Investigators are urgently seeking any information regarding the offending vehicle. Investigators believe that the hood/grille area of the vehicle has significant damage.

Kankakee County Sheriff’s detectives continue to investigate the hit and run accident in Pembroke Township. Those directly involved are urged to contact investigators and reference the case number 2023-0001013.
