DuPage County, IL – Residents of DuPage County face hazardous driving conditions this morning due to the unexpected development of black ice on local roads. The DuPage Public Safety Communications, alongside the National Weather Service in Chicago, advises extreme caution during the early hours of February 1, 2024. 

According to reports, frost has developed on various surfaces, heightening the risk of accidents. Authorities urge drivers to reduce speed and maintain increased distances between vehicles. The frost is anticipated to subside with the sunrise. 

Meanwhile, the weather forecast indicates a calm pattern with mild temperatures and no precipitation expected into early next week, although cooler conditions may persist near Lake Michigan. Residents are encouraged to stay informed and exercise caution.
