Wheaton, IL – DuPage County is wagging with anticipation for the upcoming “Raise the Woof” gala on April 12th, an event dedicated to supporting the construction of a new state-of-the-art facility for DuPage County Animal Services (DCAS).
According to DuPage County sources, the gala will be held at the Abbington Banquets in Glen Ellyn, from 6-11 PM, promising a night filled with an open bar, appetizers, and a four-course dinner, along with entertainment by Felix & Fingers Dueling Pianos.
The evening, to be emceed by Regina Waldroup of NBC 5 Chicago, marks a monumental step in the “Capital Campaign” for the new building, which aims to enhance the shelter’s operations and provide improved care for animals. The current facility, serving thousands of homeless pets annually, has been outgrown and is no longer able to meet the diverse needs of the community. DCAS, a non-taxpayer funded, open-admission shelter, has become a cornerstone for animal welfare within and beyond DuPage County.
Tickets for the gala are available now, with special VIP options offering priority check-in, a special treat, and a VIP-exclusive raffle. DuPage County Animal Services, alongside the philanthropic partnership with DuPage Animal Friends, extends an invitation to all to join in this historical and exciting event to make a significant impact on the lives of countless animals.
