According to the US National Weather Service Twin Cities, rainfall totals of 1-2 inches are predicted through Saturday morning, primarily affecting southern and eastern Minnesota as well as western Wisconsin. The rain is expected to taper off by Saturday afternoon, providing a brief respite before more severe weather returns. The region is likely to dry out and warm up on Saturday, but conditions are expected to deteriorate again by Sunday afternoon.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are forecasted for Sunday, particularly impacting western Minnesota. These storms could bring heavy rain, strong winds, and potentially hail. The National Weather Service advises residents to stay informed and monitor weather updates closely as the weekend progresses.
