Hobbs, IN – A fatal collision occurred yesterday morning on State Road 28 near Hobbs, Indiana, involving a Ford F-150 and a Peterbilt semi, leading to one fatality and multiple emergency response teams on the scene.
According to the Indiana State Police, the crash happened just before 8:30 a.m., January 19, 2024. Christopher L. Wallace, 34, of Elwood, IN, was driving the Ford eastbound when it slid into the westbound lane, colliding with the semi driven by James E. Nickerson, 55, from Atlanta, IN. The impact forced the Ford off the road, resulting in the death of its passenger, Vince D. Reynolds, 33, also from Elwood, IN. Wallace sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while Nickerson was unharmed.
