Fatal Early Morning Crash on Route 64 in St. Charles Township Leaves One Dead

St. Charles Township, IL – In the early hours on Route 64 near Anderson Road, a catastrophic incident took place involving a single vehicle. The Kane County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that at approximately 1:31 am, a 2007 Mercedes-Benz C280 crashed into a utility pole. The driver, a 31-year-old male from St. Charles, tragically lost his life in the collision.

According to officials, the Mercedes driven by Alexander E. Enskat left the roadway under unclear circumstances and struck a utility pole. Authorities are investigating the crash, with preliminary findings suggesting that excessive speed could have been a contributing factor. 

The investigation continues with the assistance of several county and local services, as they work to piece together the events leading up to the accident.
