Grundy County, IL – Emergency Response at Morris Chemical Plant on Route 6

Morris, IL – A LyondellBasell employee in Morris, IL, fell approximately 10 feet into a processing unit and became unconscious in a confined space incident. 

According to the emergency personnel on the scene, the accident occurred at the LyondellBasell facility on Tabler Road. Lifesaving measures were promptly initiated, with a LifeStar medical helicopter requested at the scene. The patient was extricated after roughly an hour-long rescue effort. The victim’s condition is unknown at this time.

Investigations into the cause of the incident are ongoing, with the company’s internal response team involved. Further updates are expected as the situation develops.
