Fatal Illinois Semi-Truck Crash Claims Life

ELK GROVE VILLAGE, Ill. — A collision between a semi-truck and a Toyota Tundra at Devon Avenue and Nicholas Boulevard turned fatal, leaving one person dead. 

The incident occurred Friday evening, prompting swift response from authorities. The Toyota driver lost their life, while the Freightliner driver sustained minor injuries. No immediate arrests were made. The accident led to temporary closure of Devon Avenue between Busse Road and Elmhurst Road. 

The Elk Grove Village Police Department Traffic Unit, supported by the Major Case Assistance Team, is investigating the incident. Community vigilance remains crucial as details unfold.
