LANSING, Ill. – An armored truck driver fell victim Wednesday to a brazen attack at a local ATM.

According to investigators three assailants targeted the driver at a Chase Bank ATM, setting off an intensive investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The incident unfolded at the Chase Bank branch situated on 16767 Torrence Avenue. Armed and undeterred, the suspects confronted the armored truck driver as they accessed the ATM. With firearms menacingly on display, the criminals issued urgent verbal demands, forcing the machine to yield its valuable contents.

Captured on surveillance cameras, the suspects presented a range of distinctive attire. One of the perpetrators donned black pants, a black hoodie, white tennis shoes, and black gloves. Accompanying them was an individual in black pants, a green hoodie, gloves, and white tennis shoes, with a conspicuous backpack. The third suspect, shrouded in a black mask, sported black pants, a gray hoodie, tennis shoes, and black gloves.

Remarkably, the ordeal concluded without harm to the driver.

The FBI has called upon the public for their aid, urging anyone with vital information to come forward, to reach out to the FBI’s dedicated tip line at 312-421-6700 or submit tips online at tips.fbi.gov.
