Illinois Worker Fatally Pinned at IDOT Yorkville Facility Accident

YORKVILLE, Ill. — A routine morning turned deadly at an Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) facility near Yorkville, as 43-year-old Timothy F. Harms lost his life in a tragic accident. The Kendall County Coroner’s Office confirmed the victim’s identity, hailing from Morris.

Authorities were alerted just past 10:30 AM on Tuesday, when deputies rushed to the facility located in the 8000 block of Route 47. The distressing report indicated that Harms had become trapped between two massive pieces of equipment.

An investigation into the incident remains ongoing, however no foul play is suspected.
