Paducah, KY – A flood watch has been issued for southern and southeast Missouri from 7 PM tonight through 1 PM Sunday. Multiple rounds of heavy rain and thunderstorms are expected, with 1 to 3 inches of rain forecast and local amounts up to 5 inches possible.

According to the US National Weather Service Paducah, KY, areas of flash flooding, some potentially significant, are possible. Campers in the Ozark Foothills should exercise extreme caution near streams and rivers. Move to higher ground immediately if water levels rise.

The first round of showers and thunderstorms will diminish by early afternoon, with another significant round expected tonight through Sunday morning. Dry and less humid conditions are forecast late Sunday.
