Former MLB infielder and podcaster Trevor Plouffe is reporting multiple sources inside MLB tell him “Spring Training 2” will begin on June 10th.  The effort will lead to a July 1st opening day for all teams to play at their home ballparks.  Presumably, without fans.

Plouffe says he was informed by multiple sources at various levels of MLB that seemed to ask him to retract the statement, but confirm it in the same breath.

No official statement has been given to date by MLB, but seems promising considering the League has yet to officially start the 2020 Season.
