Crown Point, IN – Franciscan Health Crown Point is preparing for a significant transition as its emergency department relocates to the new hospital facility on Sunday, Jan. 28. According to a press release from Franciscan Health, this move marks a critical step in the hospital’s expansion and modernization efforts.

The transition is scheduled to occur at 6 a.m. Central on Jan. 28. At this time, the emergency department at the new location, 12750 Saint Francis Drive, will commence operations. Concurrently, the existing emergency department at 1201 S. Main St. will close. This strategic move aims to enhance emergency care services and access for the Crown Point community.

The new hospital, situated conveniently at U.S. 231 and Interstate 65, is accessible via the roundabout on U.S. 231, just east of the interstate, by turning onto Saint Francis Drive.

Following the relocation, the Main Street site, henceforth known as Franciscan Health Main St. Outpatient Center, A Division of Franciscan Health Crown Point, will continue to offer a range of outpatient services. This move is part of Franciscan Health’s ongoing commitment to providing advanced healthcare services to the Crown Point region.
