Gages Lake, IL – A bomb threat this afternoon at the Special Education District of Lake County (SEDOL) campus in Gages Lake has prompted a swift response from the Lake County Sheriff’s Deputies. The threat, directed toward a vehicle in the school’s parking lot, led to a soft lockdown of the facility.

According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, although the threat initially seemed unsubstantiated, deputies are taking every precaution. An explosive detection canine is conducting a final thorough sweep of the area to ensure the safety of all individuals before lifting the lockdown. The situation is being actively monitored and investigated by law enforcement officials.
