GLEN ELLYN, IL – The recent Glow in the Park Lantern Walk at Lake Ellyn Park proved to be more than just a mesmerizing spectacle; it shone brightly with community support and generosity.

This heartwarming event, held on a pleasant Sunday evening, illuminated the skies and, in turn, raised an impressive $5,000 for the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital.

Families and friends from Glen Ellyn and beyond gathered at Lake Ellyn Park to participate in this charitable extravaganza. The event, co-hosted by the Glen Ellyn Park District and Charlie’s Corner Foundation, featured an array of family activities, including live music by Tres Moustache, thrilling rides, balloon artistry, and delectable food and beverages.

The highlight of the evening was the illuminated paper lantern walk around the picturesque lake. Participants had the option to decorate lanterns on-site for a $10 fee, contributing to the fundraiser’s success.

The Glow in the Park Lantern Walk not only illuminated Lake Ellyn Park but also illuminated the hearts of all those who attended, making a significant impact on the NICU at Lurie Children’s Hospital.
