Greenfield, Iowa Tornado Kills Four, Injures 35 in Adair County

ADAIR COUNTY, Iowa – State officials announced late Wednesday evening four fatalities and at least 35 injuries resulted from the tornado that struck Greenfield in Adair County on Tuesday.

The names and ages of those killed are not being released pending notification of next of kin.

Officials noted that the number of injured is likely higher, as these figures only include patients treated at designated alternate care sites. At least 14 patients were transported to out-of-county medical facilities by various EMS services.
