Greenville, SC – Two juveniles and one 18-year-old are facing firearms-related charges after deputies in Greenville County say they intervened in a potential act of violence Monday afternoon.
According to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded April 20, 2026, Monday, to the Westside Aquatic Center parking lot on W. Blue Ridge Drive after receiving a tip about a possible planned incident. Authorities said deputies observed individuals in possession of firearms and quickly intervened, preventing what officials described as potential violence.
During the investigation, deputies seized multiple weapons, including an assault-style rifle and three pistols. No injuries were reported.
Officials said a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old, identified as Olmari McMorris, were arrested at the scene. Due to their ages, the identities of the juveniles are not being released. According to authorities, the juveniles are facing charges of possession of a firearm under 18 and possession of a stolen firearm.
McMorris was allegedly charged with possession of a machine gun and transported to the Greenville County Detention Center. He has since been released after a magistrate set bond at $5,000, according to officials.
The two juveniles were taken to the Greenville County Juvenile Detention Center.
Authorities have not released additional details about the initial tip or whether further arrests are expected. The investigation remains ongoing.
