Heartbreaking Loss: Illinois Water Park Closed Today After 5-year-old Girl Dies

TINLEY PARK, Ill. – Tragedy struck White Water Canyon Water Park on Friday afternoon when a 5-year-old girl was discovered unresponsive and tragically pronounced dead. 

Emergency personnel and park employees sprang into action, performing CPR before rushing the girl to Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox. The cause of her untimely demise remains under investigation, leaving unanswered questions about the circumstances surrounding the incident and the duration of time the young girl spent underwater. 

In a show of solidarity and respect for the grieving family, the Tinley Park-Park District made the decision to temporarily close the park Saturday (July 1st).
