KANKAKEE – City officials will be on hand tonight to address questions and concerns involving the upcoming Home Rule vote.

Kankakee lost Home Rule during the last census and is required to put a yes/no question to retain it on the November 8th ballot.

Tonight’s meeting is designed to be informative and address how Home Rule is used.  Residents interested in attending can attend tonight at 7 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Kankakee Public Library.

Department heads will be in attendance and will present presentations on how home rule is used in their job.
