Homewood, IL – Commuters Take Note: Metra Station Closes Temporarily for Upgrades in April

Homewood, IL – The Metra announced that Homewood Station will temporarily cease operations from April 1 to May 20. 

This closure is due to significant renovation efforts, including the replacement of the stairway, as part of a larger $20.7 million project aimed at rejuvenating the station. Travelers are advised to plan accordingly as the station undergoes its transformation. Metra has issued an apology for any inconvenience caused and promises to keep the community updated.
