Homewood, IL – The Homewood Police Department is urgently seeking information following an aggravated vehicular hijacking that occurred on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, around 6:10 PM on the 800 block of Elder Road.
Official reports detail a distressing scene where two armed assailants, one male with a rifle and a masked face, and the other a female black, approximately 25 years old, with a handgun, confronted the victim in his silver Kia Sorento. The victim was able to flee on foot, while the offenders took the vehicle and headed northbound. The abandoned Kia Sorento was later discovered in Chicago.
