JOLIET – A 33-year-old woman from Joliet is in critical condition after an early morning accident Wednesday.
According to reports it happened while the woman riding her scooter on Theodore Street and reportedly fell off, subsequently hit by a passing Jeep Wrangler. Astonishingly, the Jeep’s 47-year-old female driver, also from Joliet, appeared unaware she had struck the victim, dragging her roughly a mile to north in Shorewood.
The unidentified injured woman was quickly transported to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center. An investigation into the case is ongoing.
