Hydraulic Oil Spill Creates Gridlock on Rt 50 in Bradley

KANKAKEE, IL – A hydraulic oil spill on northbound IL Rt 50 (N Kinzie Ave) from Broadway St to North St has caused havoc on the roads. 

Emergency crews are now on scene working to clean up the spill. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and find alternate routes as the lanes may be blocked for an extended period. 

Witnesses reported the spill originated from an IDOT Truck, leading to multiple cars being involved in an accident at the scene. Kankakee County Sheriff’s Police have since closed the roadway at Escher. Traffic is being diverted to I-57. Further details are limited. Follow local authorities for updates.
