Dwight, IL – Commuters on the Barack Obama Presidential Expressway are advised of upcoming overnight closures at the I-55 interchange at Illinois 17, beginning Monday.

State Senator Thomas M. Bennett has announced that these closures will take place from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, spanning from April 1st to April 4th. The disruption is part of a major $9.1 million bridge replacement project, expected to conclude in mid-fall.

Traffic flow will be directed onto the exit and entrance ramps at Illinois 17, with at least one lane remaining operational in each direction on the bridge. Flaggers will be on-site to manage the traffic, and delays should be anticipated.
