Illinois Man Arrested for Frankfort Robbery, Identified by Distinctive Tattoo

FRANKFORT, IL — The Will County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a 30-year-old Park Forest resident, in connection with a September armed robbery at a Frankfort gas station. 

According to police reports, Alexander P. Garcia has been charged in the September 10, 2023, at the Speedway gas station on W. Lincoln Highway. Garcia allegedly demanded cash while brandishing a silver handgun, escaping with $138. License Plate Readers and security footage led to Garcia’s identification, including a distinctive tattoo on his left hand. He was arrested October 13, 2023, by deputies, including members of the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force. 

Garcia is now detained at the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
