Bourbonnais, IL – In a remarkable demonstration of support, the Bourbonnais Police Department took the plunge into the icy waters of Manteno Lake this weekend, contributing to the over $102,000 raised for the Special Olympics Illinois. The ‘Brrrbonnais Police’ team, nearing their $5,000 fundraising target, joined forces with the community to provide critical funding for more than 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities.

According to the latest updates, the Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge saw spirited participation across the state, with the Bourbonnais officers standing out for their commitment. The funds raised will help sustain vital programs that offer sports, education, and health to Special Olympics athletes throughout the year. Supporters can still donate to the ‘Brrrbonnais Police’ team, aiding them in meeting and surpassing their fundraising goal.
