Danville, IL – In a determined effort to combat human trafficking, the Illinois State Police (ISP) arrested five individuals, including two from Danville, one from New York, and two others from Illinois, during an operation in the Danville area.
The operation, conducted by the ISP Division of Criminal Investigation’s Trafficking Enforcement Bureau on February 28th and March 1st, 2024, targeted individuals seeking to engage in commercial sex acts, particularly those involving minors.
The individuals apprehended face charges including allegations of Indecent Solicitation/Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse of a Child (Class 3 Felony), Traveling to Meet a Child (Class 3 Felony), and Solicitation to Meet a Child (Class 4 Felony). Bradley J. Wagoner, one of the accused, has also been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine – Less Than 5 Grams (Class 3 Felony).
The operation was a collaborative effort, involving the Vermilion County MEG, East Central Illinois Task Force, Task Force 6 personnel, and Homeland Security Investigations, with support from the Vermilion County State’s Attorney’s Office.
