Illinois State Police Investigating After Human Remains Found in Henry County

Kewanee, IL – The discovery of human remains in a rural area of Henry County, Illinois, on Sunday has led to an ongoing investigation by the Illinois State Police, supported by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office and the Kewanee Police Department. This collaborative effort began following the discovery made on March 10, 2024. 

Authorities have not yet released extensive details as the investigation is in its early stages, but they have assured the public that there is no imminent danger. The Henry County Sheriff’s Office Investigation Division is actively looking into the circumstances surrounding this incident, with further updates promised upon completion of the investigation.
