Chicago, IL – While the first day of Spring signals warmer days ahead, winter seems reluctant to bid farewell to Illinois.

According to the US National Weather Service in Chicago, parts of northern Illinois, especially regions north of Interstate 88 and near the Wisconsin-Illinois border, are bracing for a wintry mix.

The forecast indicates a potential for slushy snow accumulations late Thursday night into Friday, challenging the expectations of spring weather.

Residents in the affected areas are advised to stay updated on the latest forecasts and prepare for possible winter driving conditions during this period.
