Rensselaer, IN – In a startling early morning discovery on March 18th, 2024, a Jasper County Sheriff’s Deputy found Ronnie S. Uylaki, a 43-year-old man from Rensselaer, Indiana, asleep in his vehicle at a local business near the intersection of State Road 10 and US 231.
According to police reports the vehicle, suspiciously backed into the business’s premises, allegedly contained visible signs of illegal activities, including an open hypodermic needle resting in the center console. Further investigation led to the reported uncovering of needles and methamphetamine residue inside a zipper pouch, resulting in Uylaki’s arrest and subsequent incarceration at the Jasper County Detention Center.
Charged with possession of methamphetamine and unlawful possession of a syringe, Uylaki’s arrest brings to light the ongoing battle against drug offenses in the community.
