Kankakee, IL – Anticipation is high as the Kankakee Farmers’ Market announces a full roster of vendors for the upcoming season, signaling a robust start when it opens next month.

Renowned for its Saturday gatherings, the market offers an array of fresh local produce, artisanal crafts, and gourmet food options, drawing crowds from across the region and even neighboring states.

According to the market officials, the overwhelming response from vendors means all spots have been claimed for both regular and occasional sellers. Despite reaching capacity, the market maintains an open application process for possible openings due to cancellations or to accommodate seasonal vendors. The community and visitors can look forward to experiencing the diverse offerings and vibrant atmosphere every Saturday from May through October.

The market, a staple for family outings with its kid-friendly activities and live music, is located downtown at the corner of S. Schuyler Ave. and Merchant St. It will operate every Saturday, 8:00 am to noon, from May 4 to October 26.
