Rensselaer, IN – An emergency intervention on an Indiana road leads to revival and subsequent arrest in a drug-related incident.

Jasper County Sheriff’s deputies swiftly administered Narcan to Brett W. Volk, 31, of Wheatfield, reviving him from an apparent overdose at a local intersection on March 8, 2024.

Post-recovery, a search of his vehicle unearthed a needle and substances testing positive for heroin/fentanyl, leading to Volk’s arrest on multiple felony charges. The Sheriff’s Office cautions that charges are allegations, not evidence of guilt, until proven in a court of law.
