Chebanse, IL – A devastating collision between a car and a motorcycle in Loda claimed the lives of two women and left a man severely injured.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Oak and Washington Streets shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Sunday. Responding to the scene, Iroquois County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered that Amber Garrelts, 35, from Loda, driving the car, and Greta Naese, 60, a motorcycle passenger from Chebanse, had suffered critical injuries that they would both later succumb to add a nearby hospital.
Lester Naese, 65, the motorcycle driver and husband to Greta Naese, was seriously injured and remains hospitalized. Emergency services from Buckley and Loda Fire Departments, as well as Gibson City and Illinois State EMS, assisted at the crash site.
