Joliet, IL – Construction on new traffic signals at the intersection of IL Route 53 (Chicago Street) and Emerald Drive in Joliet kicks off today.
This initiative, aimed at boosting traffic safety and efficiency, enters its first phase with the introduction of traffic control and safety measures. These measures, particularly affecting the shoulder area for southbound traffic along Route 53, are enforced as expected to last about a month, as detailed in a recent City of Joliet media release.
