Kankakee County Students Shine on Missouri S&T Honor Roll for Fall 2023

ROLLA, Mo. (March 6, 2024) – The Missouri University of Science and Technology, known for its rigorous academic standards and STEM-focused curriculum, has released its honor list for the Fall 2023 semester. Among the achievers are several students from Kankakee County, Illinois, who have excelled academically, earning a spot on this prestigious list.

To qualify for the honor roll, students must maintain a full-time status with a minimum of 12 hours and achieve a grade point average of 3.2 or higher out of a possible 4.0. This achievement underscores the dedication and hard work of the students in pursuit of their academic goals.

Notable students from Kankakee County include Kamden Lockwood of Bonfield, a senior majoring in mechanical engineering; Jacob Lehman of Bourbonnais, a sophomore studying nuclear engineering; Madison Offerman of Herscher, a junior in aerospace engineering; and Armarion Parnell of Kankakee, a freshman pursuing a degree in computer science.

Missouri S&T, part of the four-campus University of Missouri System and located in Rolla, Missouri, offers 101 degrees across 40 areas of study. The university is celebrated for its significant return on investment and houses the Kummer Institute, established through a $300 million gift from Fred and June Kummer.
