Kankakee, IL – Free Bus Rides in Kankakee Amid Extreme Cold

Kankakee, IL – In response to the dangerously low wind chills, the River Valley Metro Mass Transit District is offering free rides on all local fixed bus routes today, Wednesday, January 17. 

This initiative aims to provide residents with safe and warm transportation options amid the severe weather conditions. 

According to the Transit District, all local buses will also serve as warming shelters for those in need. The community is encouraged to share this vital information to ensure everyone has access to a safe place during this extreme cold spell.
