Kankakee will be representing later tonight in the 2022 Palomino World Series in Laredo, TX.

Other teams participating in the 2022 Palomino World Series include Brownsville, TX, Covina, CA, Dorado, PR, Lithuania, Nogales, Sonora, MX, San Antonio Texans, Taoyuan City, Taiwan, and Youngstown, OH.
An Illinois team has won the tournament just seven times. Joliet was the last team to do it in 2008.
Other former winners include Evergreen Park (1981), Homer-Lockport (1985-86), Joliet (1990), Homer (1993), and Oak Forest (1998).
