Kankakee River, Flooding captured by Drones, Firefighters

Rolling thunderstorms and heavy downpours left their damage on the area late last night as footage of damage rolls in today from readers across the area.

Seen below is flooding at Phelan Achers at the Kankakee River in Wilmington, IL.

Nicholas Bowers, captured these rising flood waters near South Wilmington.

In Joliet at Rt 53, firefighters had to deploy a small boat to rescue victims stuck a car. The encounter was captured late last night as a car flashes it’s lights below flood waters.

According to ComEd, customers across the area were without power last night, including areas of Cook, Dupage, Kane and Kankakee counties.
