Kendall County, IL – Michigan Man Arrested for Firing Shots for ‘Target Practice’ at Saw Wee Kee Park

Kendall County, IL – A 19-year-old from Birmingham, Michigan, was arrest Sunday following reports of gunfire at Saw Wee Kee Park. 

According to Kendall County Sheriff’s reports, officers responded to alerts of two individuals engaging in target practice within the park premises. Upon arrival, deputies discovered several shell casings and shotgun shells along a trail, leading to the swift identification and detention of the suspects, along with the reported seizure of a semi-automatic rifle and a shotgun.

Further investigation prompted charges against Cao, including two counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon and two counts of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, each classified under different felony levels.  A second subject was released, pending an investigation.

Cao now awaits a pre-trial conditions hearing from within the confines of the Kendall County Jail. Authorities maintain that the investigation is ongoing and urge anyone with relevant information to contact the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office.
