LaPorte County, IN – Michigan City Police utilizing their advanced Flock Falcon Camera System on Saturday, arrested two Washington State residents for their involvement in a complex ATM skimming operation spanning multiple states.Â
According to Michigan city police reports, officers acting on an alert from the surveillance system, stopped a 2015 white Toyota Sienna near East US Highway 12 and East Michigan Boulevard, unraveling a web of financial deceit that had affected countless victims.
The vehicle’s occupants, identified as 32-year-old Florin Vaduva and 26-year-old Loredana Vaduva, were allegedly central figures in a nationwide criminal network specializing in the use of skimming devices on ATMs. Skimming devices illicitly record bank card information, facilitating large-scale financial fraud. Florin Vaduva was charged with Possession of a False Government Identification, a misdemeanor, and subsequently released on a $1,500 cash bond. Meanwhile, Loredana Vaduva faces extradition back to Colorado, Minnesota, and Wisconsin to answer for nine outstanding felony theft warrants.
