MANTENO – A 50-year-old Kankakee man was arrested Wednesday following an investigation into an alleged sexual assault at a bar over the weekend.
According to Manteno Police, it happened Saturday after when a woman contacted police of the alleged sexual assault by a man she encountered at a bar on Main Street.
After a short investigation, Jermel L. Autman was arrested Wednesday on Criminal Sexual Abuse charges. He’s being held at Jerome Combs Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
