HEBRON – A concerned resident’s call lead to a drug arrest Sunday afternoon.
According to the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just after 3 p.m. when a reckless driver in a blue Ford was reported in the area of State Road 10 and County Road 1200 West near the county line.
The vehicle was later reported parked the bay of a nearby car wash.
When officers arrived, the driver, 32-year-old Garrett V. Taylor of Hebron was found unresponsive behind the wheel of the vehicle. Officers responding to the crash later discovered alleged evidence of illegal drug use in the vehicle.
Taylor was arrested and transported to Jasper County Detention Center on felony charges for Possession of a Narcotic Drug and Unlawful Possession of Syringe.
